A galupe ride in the nature reserve
Les bateliers du courant d’Huchet offer unusual trips to discover the secrets and treasures of the Reserve, in traditional flat-bottomed boats. It’s an opportunity to discover a diverse flora and fauna, the richness of which has inspired the nickname “Landes Amazon”. The walk takes in 10 km of Moliets territory, from Lac de Léon to the mouth of the current on the ocean. 2-hour guided cruises are offered every morning and afternoon from April to October. In July and August, we also organize afternoon outings lasting 3 or 4 hours. The indicative full price is 15 euros for a 2-hour cruise to Ile aux Chenes, 20 euros for a 3-hour cruise to Pont de Pichelèbe, and 25 euros for a 4-hour cruise to Plage d’Huchet in Moliets.

Sea outings from Capbreton harbour
Capbreton, the only port in the Landes region, is less than 28 km from Moliets. Several sea cruises depart from here: to admire the sunset or meet cetaceans with the X-Cat catamaran, to learn about sea fishing with Bigfishs, to discover the natural features of the Landes coast with the Yacht Club, or to enjoy a unique experience aboard a sailboat with the Skipcool sailing school team. You can expect to pay 50 euros per adult and 25 euros per child for a two-hour trip aboard Skipcool’s 12 m sailing yacht, 89 euros for a half-day sailing trip with the Yacht Club Landais, or 55 euros for a two-hour sunset cruise with tapas on the catamaran X Cat.
Boat trip on Lake Léon
To the south of Lac de Léon, less than 10 km from Les Cigales campsite in Moliets, Canoë Surfing not only offers a range of boats for hire, but also organizes relaxing family outings on the lake: for example, you can enjoy a Hawaiian pirogue ride at sunset, a rejuvenating and unique moment to experience during your vacation. The two-hour guided tour costs 22 euros per adult and 17 euros per child under 12. Supervised paddleboat rides are also available on the lake, at a cost of 25 euros per person for a one-hour activity.
